Synopsis

Each of these stories begins with people setting out to have a good time... surfing, wind sailing, snowmobiling, going to a circus, a baseball game or a soccer match, whatever...and then something goes wrong; significantly unexpectedly wrong.
Sometimes these adventures are comic; like the groom and his fire fighting ushers who interrupted his own wedding to fight a fire which was endangering the wedding chapel...
And sometimes these fun-filled activities take a tragic turn... This one-hour special depicts the uncertain and often inexplicable results of our pursuit to pleasure.

We'll view the videotape, speak to the participants and revel in the stories behind the following:

* Snowmobilers take the rides of their lives when they are caught off guard by a life-threatening avalanche...
* A white water rafting foursome almost loses their lives when their raft takes a turn for the worse...
* A thoroughbred race horse gets disoriented and runs off the track endangering the life of a young child...
* An overhead bridge at a soccer stadium collapses, triggering a human stampede that injures hundreds...
* A holiday parade turns somber when a dog spooks he lead horse of a "Western Wagon." The wagon embarks upon a high speed jaunt which ends when the wagon tips over and is dragged through the crowd...
* Circus fans get a wilder show than they expected when a trained elephant goes on the rampage during a circus performance....
