Synopsis

These are the compelling, unbelievable stories of individuals who have survived the challenge of the most unimaginably dangerous and disastrous situations and have come out alive: airline crashes, animal attacks, skydiving accidents, fires, tornadoes, kidnappings, armed assault. You name it -- someone has survived it, through their sheer force of will or the heroic efforts of their fellow man. And the footage is spectacular!
Each one-hour episode of I SURVIVED examines three true stories supported by video documentation of each incredible event via professional news footage, amateur home video or original location footage. This footage is supplemented by interviews with the survivors and all other key players in these real-life dramas. We'll experience the heart-stopping sequence of events from shocking start to miraculous finish through the survivor's own play-by-play recounting of events. Nearly every story will also feature the people who put their own lives at risk to save another. Though nearly all reality programs are "footage-driven," I SURVIVED is much more than "just another clip show," because it is also story-driven. Viewers will want to know how ordinary people thought, felt and acted in extraordinary situations. And best of all, all of our stories are about survivors. Each story on I SURVIVED will end with a positive, uplifting message that highlights humanities will to survive.
