Rive Gauche Television Sells “Hunch” - Game Format in France
CANNES (October 1, 2010) – Rive Gauche Television has sold Hunch, a new game show format to Endemol in France at MIPCOM 2010, it was announced today by David Auerbach, President of Rive Gauche Television.
Hunch, created by Scott Sternberg and developed with Rive Gauche, is a studio-based game format with broad appeal that everyone can play and anyone can win. Two contestants, playing as a team are asked a series of simple questions with answers that aren’t based on facts but simply your gut feelings. The team can only give one answer – so if they disagree, the contestants have a limited amount of time to convince their partner or over-rule their partner. Eight correct answers in a row – they win $1,000,000. Hunch is the exciting new game show where your guess is as good as mine.
Auerbach said “Endemol France’s acquisition of Hunch is an early example of the success of Rive Gauche Television’s strategy to develop original formats outside the US. Our goal is create formats that can become low cost original programming and hopefully, long running franchises for our broadcast partners around the world. We are excited to be in business with such a successful company as Endemol in France and expect to be able to announce additional format deals for Hunch and several other new properties shortly.
